Dedicated Curling Facility Project

The project committee met twice over the summer to review the feedback collected at our town hall and to begin mapping out what a dedicated facility would need to include. Members raised clear priorities: reliable ice time for league play and bonspiels, accessible locker rooms and viewing space, and a home that lets us host visiting clubs without competing for shared rink slots.

We are now in the exploration and planning stage. That means we are gathering requirements, identifying candidate sites, and talking with architects and ice-plant specialists to understand rough costs — nothing is locked in. A small site-evaluation working group has been formed and is developing criteria (access, parking, utilities, land cost, expansion room) so every option is judged the same way.
